Essaouira is a coastal town (approx 2,5 h driving from Marrakech). It provids an excellent opportunity to relax on the beach. The Medina of Essaouira combines history, culture with modern cafes and restaurants. Essaouira has a long promenade with a large, sandy beach. It is safe to swim here. It’s a perfect opportunity to get away from the city rush, and enjoy the cooler climate of the coastal town of Essaouira.
Essaouira is an exceptional example of late-18th-century fortified town. It is built according to the principles of contemporary European military architecture in a north African context.
We get back to Marrakech at ~ 18:30 hrs. On the way to Essaouira there is an opportunity to stop for a visit to Argan Oil (Women Cooperative). As a result during the excursion, you will be able to see the surrounding countryside.
