MARRAKECH AND CARAVAN IN THE DESERT

From the red city of Marrakech to the quiet of the Sahara, sleeping in Berber tents.

Day 1: Marrakech – Dades Gorges

In Marrakech, your guide/driver will meet you at the place you are. We drive to the south to Ouarzazate towards the Tizi N’Tichka (2260m) and have the opportunity to appreciate the fresh oasis and palm groves, numerous kasbahs and the landscape of the Middle Atlas. We walk in the quiet of the mountain where you can appreciate the lifestyle of the Berbers. At every step, you will discover a new scene of daily life. Dinner and hotel accommodation.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast we start the day crossing the Dades Gorges where we will discover typical villages and we will find the Berber nomads of the mountain. After lunch in the Todra Gorge, travel through the tar route, through the palm grove of TINGHIR, one of the most beautiful and vast in Morocco to reach the town of Erfoud. From here we drive to Merzouga, where, after drinking a tea, we take the camels and go to the nomad camp to sleep in Berber tents in the desert, where you can see the stars and hear the silence of the desert. Typical Berber dinner and overnight in tents.

Day 3: Merzouga – Drâa Valley – Ouarzazate

In the early morning, after watching the sunrise from the top of a dune, we return to the riad where we will have breakfast. Then, towards Ouarzazate visit RISSANI economic-capital city of Morocco and first imperial city of the country, the souk under the red arches and its numerous ksours. Then we follow the road to the village of Alnif for lunch. We continue through the magnificent Draa Valley. On the evening we arrive in Ouarzazate where we will stay. Dinner and hotel accommodation.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Kasbah Taourirt – Kasbah Ait ben Haddou – Kasbah Talouat – Marrakech

After breakfast visit a kasbah in the center of Ouarzazate is the Kasbah Taourirt. Once upon a time it was the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech. It is built of adobe with crenellated towers. We can visit the old quarters of Glaoui, the dining room and bedrooms that retain their painted stucco decoration, ceilings in cedar wood. Near Ouarzazate we visit  the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (declared World Heritage by UNESCO). In this spectacular setting they have been filmed several famous films like Gladiator, Obelix and Sahara. Then we visit the Kasbah Telouat and take lunch on site. In the afternoon we return path through many Berber mountain villages up to the High Atlas. We continue the adventure crossing the Tizi Ntichka (2.260m altitude). We arrived at Marrakech. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Final tour and Airport shuttle

Breakfast at the hotel and at the time indicated, transfer to airport for return flight. End the trip and our services.
