Tour Detail

Day 1:  Marrakech to Zagora Desert through High Atlas Mountains, Ouarzazate, and Draa Valley.

Departure from Marrakech At 07H30 to Ouarzazate we pass over the High Atlas Mountains via col Tizi n Tichka. During the journey, we will enjoy many beautiful scenes of the Berber villages, high views of the mountains. .before arriving at Ouarzazate of 30 Km there is the fortified Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, built in the 11th century. Once upon a time, this Kasbah was the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakesh. It is situated on a hill along the Ounila River and has some beautiful examples of Kasbahs, which unfortunately sustain damage during each rainstorm and windstorm. Most of the town’s inhabitants now live in a more modern village on the other side of the river; however, around five families are still living within this Kasbah. Ait Benhaddou Kasbah has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and several films have been shot there, including Lawrence of Arabia (1962) and Alexander (2004).From this beautiful fortified house. Later on, we will continue our 2-day desert tour to Zagora through Draa Valley to reach Zagora. Once we arrive in Zagora will be dropped off by camels for your camel ride into the Zagora desert camp and witness the sunset. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars while locals play their traditional folk songs for your entertainment.

Day 2: Zagora to Marrakech via Draa Valley, Ait Ben Haddou, and high atlas mountains.

If you wake up early enough, you can see the stunning sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the play of shadow is awesome. The final part is the camel ride to meet your driver who is to drive you back to Marrakech. You will also have free time in Ouarzazate for lunch in one of the local restaurants and also visit the famous Kasbah of Taourirt. In the afternoon, we drive you back to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountain which brings an end to your Marrakech 2 days desert tour. Drop off in your accommodation around 8 pm.
